Workers Compensation
12/17/2018

As the year ends, we travel a lot to see our customers for workers compensation renewals. Being on the roads so much, we see how extremely busy the highways are and how little patience drivers have. In the midst of this holiday traffic, please remind your drivers to be very careful and try to keep a good attitude in spite of having a tough job, especially right now.

Workers compensation laws are regulated on the state level, therefore, each state has different laws surrounding these plans. Workers compensation is a form of insurance providing wage replacement and medical benefits to employees injured during the course of their employment; while in exchange for mandatory relinquishment of the employee’s right to sue his or her employer for negligence.

By law, in Alabama, employers with more than four employees are required to have workers compensation insurance. Failure to have workers compensation insurance can create an automatic negligent liability situation to an injured employee. Additionally, fines can be given to businesses without this policy.

Therefore, if you have more than four employees, please contact us so we can help you.  We will make sure to handle your workers compensation exposure. Furthermore, if you have any questions on workers compensation or other insurance coverages, please give us a call.

We wish you a happy and safe holiday season!
